THE FILM
Hex is a story based on events that happened to a friend of mine when she was younger.

Her stories gave me the ideas in which are portrayed in this short 27 minute film.

Hex can have many interpretations, however I wanted to portray the points that some people can be caught under a spell/control by the wrong person.
​
That toxic environment and not understanding what it can do to an individuals mind and soul.
THE STORY
Jessica finds herself having unexplainable and strange experiences. She cannot make any sense of her life. After experiencing some paranormal activities, her fear grows when she loses control of her body, unable to move.
Is Jessica the only one who can see what is happening to her? Is this real? Is it something that is happening in her subconscious? Or is it someone or something taking control?
THE FACTS
The title to Hex was ORIGINALLY called Abracadabra and I was going to use the Steve Miller Bands song of that same title.
After many discussions, with the powers to be I decided to bring in a friend of mine Danny Lopez to write a song based on the original script.
The song ‘Have You Tonight’ came alive and then the new title Hex was born.

Another FACT is in the film, there is a shot of a picture frame that moves when the lead actress approaches it. That actually happened!!!
